Born in Shanghai, Alice Yim grew up in Hong Kong and moved to the United States to study at the age of 17. She graduated from the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco with a degree in fashion design and soon relocated to New York to pursue her career in the fashion industry.
After freelancing for Michael Kors, she realized her dream of starting her own line. Alice created her first knitwear collection in Autumn 2007. The line has since evolved into an entire women’s contemporary brand offering a complete collection using high quality fabrics, hand knits and fine Italian yarns. Alice Yim New York is distributed all over the U.S. and is broadening its distribution into the European market.
Alice Yim New York has enjoyed press coverage in many media outlets including Nolcha Fashion Week, is a participant of Fashion’s Night Out and will exhibit at ENK Fashion Coterie.
